Employees of the Nizhny Novgorod Aviation Plant "Sokol" (part of PJSC "UAC") continue to assemble fuselage sections of the Il-114-300 passenger aircraft. From January to June 2024, they sent another batch of units to Lukhovitsy (Moscow region), where the aircraft is assembled and tested, as reported by the corporation's press service.
"Sokol" began to develop the production of Il-114-300 in 2017. At the end of 2019, a new production line appeared in the assembly shop. The plant management purchased the necessary equipment, and the employees manufactured and installed the tooling.
The most qualified employees of the shop were sent here, to the new section. Before starting work, they underwent training, mastered blueprint-free assembly technologies, significantly improving their professional level.
