Insiders report that the Moscow Metro continues to purchase armored vehicles. The last time, 15 multi-ton Patrol vehicles used by the Russian Guard were purchased. The main purpose of the armored vehicle is patrolling the area and reconnaissance.
Heavy equipment is produced in Naberezhnye Chelny at the Asteys plant. The car is assembled on the basis of KAMAZ. The armored vehicle has a 7.4-meter body, as well as an engine with a capacity of 260 horsepower. The total weight of the car is more than 13 tons.
This is not the first purchase of armored vehicles by the security service of the Moscow Metro. In April, a Buran was purchased, and in June, an Akhmat armored vehicle.
