«Ярославский моторный завод» разработает 12-ступенчатый робот нового поколения

Агрегат будут ставить на тяжелые грузовики

Engineers at the "Yaroslavl Motor Plant" will create an automated transmission. It will have 12 speeds. In addition to the robotic version, a manual version will also be developed.

Basically, the gearboxes will be supplied for export. They will be purchased by the "Minsk Motor Plant" for their heavy trucks. They can replace the Chinese Fast Gear units. In Russia, the development of the "Yaroslavl Motor Plant" is likely to be of interest to the "Ural" plant and the company "Nizhny Novgorod Trucks." The latter produces "Valdai" tractors.

Note that one of the disadvantages of robotic transmissions is the slowness of gear shifting. For passenger transport, this is a significant disadvantage, but for trucks, it does not play such a significant role.
