Точно в яблочко: уникальный умный прицел «Гефест» повысит точность российских авиабомб

Система рассчитывает курс, скорость и высоту сброса авиационного средства поражения

The Russian Aerospace Forces on the front lines are capable of placing even unguided free-falling bombs accurately on target. They are aided in this by the SVP-24 "Gefest" targeting and navigation complex, which calculates the trajectory of unguided munitions in real time, thereby significantly increasing their accuracy.

The system, by analyzing GLONASS data on the location of the target and the aircraft, flight speed, wind speed, air humidity, taking into account the magnitude of atmospheric pressure and a number of other factors, calculates the course, speed, and altitude for dropping aerial ordnance, after which the bombing is carried out automatically.

In its basic version, the SVP-24 system consists of an OR-4TM television indicator, an SV-24 onboard computer, a BFI indication formation unit, a TBN-K solid-state onboard storage device with software, an SRNS-24 specialized radio navigation system, an RVB-T "Obzor" radar video signal processing unit, a UVV-MP input-output device, and an SP-24 instrument rack.

In addition to the basic SVP-24 complex, designed for installation on the Su-24M, the following versions have been developed: SVP-24-22 — for upgrading Tu-22M3 long-range bombers

  • SVP-24-33 — for upgrading Su-33 carrier-based fighters
  • SVP-24-27 — for upgrading MiG-27 fighter-bombers (for export)
  • SVP-24-25 — for upgrading Su-25 attack aircraft

It is also possible to adapt the system for the L-39 aircraft, Ka-50 and Ka-52 helicopters.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces began to use a symbiosis of the "Piranha" FPV drone and an airplane-type UAV. Such UAVs can simultaneously carry other drones, drop them, and operate as a repeater.
