New VOLGA cars (rebadged Chinese Changans) will receive a winter package. Thus, they will be adapted for operation in cold climates.
Heated windshield, side mirrors, steering wheel and washer nozzles will be available. The cars will also have heated steering wheel, front and rear seats.
The new "Volgas" will be produced in Nizhny Novgorod on the territory of the automotive cluster. The full assembly cycle should start in 2025, but the Ministry of Industry and Trade wants to speed up the production of cars. The head of the ministry, Anton Alikhanov, said that the manufacturer of "Volgas" – a company called "Production of passenger cars" is negotiating with its partners on this issue.
