The famous Russian singer Yaroslav Dronov, performing under the pseudonym Shaman, announced the blocking of his channel on YouTube video hosting. In his opinion, the reason was nationality.
He shared the sad news on his channel on another foreign resource – Telegram.
My YouTube channel was blocked because I am RUSSIAN.
The Russian singer uploaded the last video to the foreign platform on June 30. Now it is also unavailable. In total, the singer had 2.7 million subscribers on the Youtube channel.
Recently, the performer was included in the European Union's blacklist as part of the 14th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Also, the channels of Russian artists Oleg Gazmanov, Grigory Leps, Vyacheslav Manucharov, Yulia Chicherina and Polina Gagarina were blocked on the video hosting platform.
Earlier wwww1.ru reported that a new domestic copy of YouTube has been created in Russia. The service was named "Platform".
