В России разрабатывают новый комплекс для ликвидации разливов нефти

Domestic Oil Spill Response (OSR) system will be created based on an unmanned robotic platform

Severnoye More, a subsidiary of the military-industrial holding company Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant, has announced plans to create a new domestic complex for the elimination of accidental oil spills (OSR). It will be based on an unmanned robotic platform and will require less personnel to operate.

The unique domestic complex is capable of automatically detecting leaks of petroleum products, gas, crude oil, and promptly transmitting the collected information to the operator. The platform is planned to be equipped with domestic navigation equipment, gas analyzers, an oil spill sensor, and oil collection equipment.

The new OSR system will also be able to quickly deliver the necessary equipment to the site of the oil spill, perform towing, and install a boom system in the area of emergency rescue operations.

Severnoye More has been manufacturing mobile OSR systems for over thirty years, which help in the elimination of accidental spills of oil and petroleum products from the water surface, on land, and on ice. The complex includes not only equipment but also special clothing for emergency responders.
