The "Plastmass" Plant
The "Plastmass" plant in the Chelyabinsk region was founded in 1939. At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the company established the production of 203-mm shells for artillery, 500-kilogram aerial bombs, and other products, and in the post-war period, it continued to produce special-purpose products.
Currently, it is practically the only enterprise in Russia that has a loading production of ammunition for field artillery, tank armament, and unguided aircraft missiles.
In addition to military products, "Plastmass" produces industrial explosives, a range of products for the mining industry, and charge from which nanodiamonds are extracted for medicine, quantum electronics, and optics.
