The government of Kamchatka Krai plans to begin construction of a fiber optic communication line (FOCL) approximately 440 km long this year. The line will cover eight northeastern settlements, starting from the village of Oссоra, according to the press service of the regional government.
The Governor of Kamchatka Krai, Vladimir Solodov, emphasized the importance of the new project, which will ensure reliable communication between remote settlements of Kamchatka Krai.
In 2023, we managed to implement a historic project of building a fiber optic communication line in the north. The Internet has already reached Oссоra, and I want to report that a fundamental decision has been made to extend the network to Tilichiki.
According to him, the completion of the FOCL laying is planned for 2026. It will cover the villages of Tymlat, Karaga, Ivashka, Kostroma, Ilpyrsкoe, Vyvenka, Korf, and Tilichiki.
