Russian military personnel on the front lines have built a special mobile mount on which machine guns can be placed for remote firing. The device has a video camera, thanks to which the machine gun crew has the ability to control fire remotely while in cover.
A night vision device will provide soldiers with surveillance of the firing sector at any time of the day. In the future, the bed is also planned to be equipped with an optical sight.
Fire control is carried out via wires, which makes the machine gun installation completely immune to the effects of enemy radio-electronic warfare systems. The installation operator can be up to 100 meters away from it.
The soldiers said that when creating the device, they used electronics and spare parts from broken and captured equipment. Tank Kalashnikov machine guns were used as weapons. The military has already tested the novelty at the training ground and expressed readiness to test it on the front line.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian military personnel crossed the Vyatka quadcopter and the AK-74 assault rifle. The operator controls this device using FPV goggles.
