The Russian FPV drone "Veles" will receive a homing system to radio-electronic warfare equipment. With it, the drone will be able to independently detect sources of radiation and hit them, thereby clearing the way for other drones.
The "Veles" drone is a modular platform based on a U-shaped frame. The payload is 2.5 kg, with which it can travel up to 10 km, and with a smaller load - up to 15 km.
I hope that by the end of this year it will be possible to complete the entire complex of works on creating and launching into mass production a modification of "Veles" with a homing system to the REB source. Such a drone will increase the capabilities of our radio intelligence and will become an effective means of combating enemy radio-electronic suppression equipment.
To date, "Veles" operators have already recorded more than 400 successful combat uses, Yatsenko noted. According to him, UAVs are used as a kamikaze drone, a reconnaissance drone or to adjust artillery fire.
Earlier www1.ru reported that in Russia they invented a complex with control of the detonation time of shells. The ammunition used by it has high accuracy in hitting targets.
