The "Remdiesel" enterprise (part of Rostec) will begin production of the updated Z-STS "Akhmat" armored vehicle in 2025. The developers took into account the experience of using the equipment in combat, said Alexander Zakharov, General Director of the company.
We accumulated a certain list of improvements to the car back in 2022-2023. Last year we revised the documentation.
According to him, in 2024, the company will produce a batch of 3-STS in standard configuration. From next year, cars with modifications will go into production. They mainly concerned the protection of the armored car.
The development of the Z-STS "Akhmat" began in the spring of 2022. The armored car is assembled on a serial frame using domestic components. The protection class of the car corresponds to the "Typhoon" line.
Features of the Z-STS "Akhmat" Armored Vehicle:
- wheel formula — 6*6
- operation at temperatures from -50 to +50 degrees
- operation at altitudes up to 4.5 thousand m
- configuration with seats for the crew and a paramedic with stretchers
