The Russian Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system is capable of effectively shooting down not only high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles, but also projectiles from the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The military said that the HIMARS projectile is no longer considered a difficult aerodynamic target. Anti-aircraft gunners are able to easily hit projectiles and missiles of foreign production, air defense units are on duty around the clock.

Earlier www1.ru reported that in 2024, Russian troops will receive S-400, Tor-M2U and Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile systems. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that equipping troops with air and missile defense with advanced weapons will be one of the main directions in the development of the Aerospace Forces.
