In the period from 2021 to 2023, the volume of ammunition production in Russia increased 14 times. This was stated by President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the heads of defense industry enterprises in Korolev.

The head of state noted that the growth in production of rocket and artillery weapons increased by more than 22 times, electronic warfare and reconnaissance equipment - by 15 times, ammunition and weapons - by 14 times, cars - by 7 times, personal protective equipment - by 6 times, unmanned aerial vehicles and aviation equipment - by 4 times, armored weapons - almost 3.5 times.
Putin emphasized that most defense industry enterprises will fulfill orders ahead of schedule. At the same time, he pointed out the need to increase the pace of equipping the Russian army with modern weapons.
