The "Katai Pump Plant" (KNZ), located in the Kurgan region, has manufactured a pilot batch of parts from high-strength and chemically resistant duplex steels. Testing of the new products is already underway at one of the key consumers. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
The expansion of production is taking place within the framework of import substitution. The new parts are characterized by low cost. At the same time, they have strength, resistance to corrosion and abrasion.
The development of domestic production of parts and components strengthens the potential of domestic industry and strengthens its independence from imports.
According to Anatoly Zuev, Director of JSC "KNZ", parts made of duplex steels are most often used in petrochemistry and mechanical engineering. All the declared product characteristics have already been confirmed during operation.
Earlier www1.ru reported that manufacturers in the Russian Federation reduced dependence on foreign equipment by a third reduced.
