Перевезет больше центнера грузов: в Новосибирске создали грузовой беспилотник «САРМА»

The drone is equipped with a gasoline ICE and an electric motor

Scientists from Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) have developed the "SARMA" cargo drone. It is designed for cargo transportation, agricultural work, and monitoring, the university's press service reported.

The UAV is capable of lifting loads up to 120 kg, and its flight range is 1200 kilometers. "SARMA" weighs 155 kg, has a wingspan of 12.2 meters, and a length of 5.2 meters. The drone requires a site of at least 100x25 meters for takeoff.

A gasoline ICE and an electric motor ensure easy takeoff and altitude gain. "SARMA" differs from other UAVs in the corrugated profile of the wing skin (developed by the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences). This technical solution improves flight safety at low speeds.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that unmanned trucks in Russia could be launched on the M-12 and M-4 highways.
