Russia is one of the leading countries in the world in the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in agriculture. About 15% of agricultural enterprises have started using AI technologies, said Natalia Filippova, head of the InteragroTech association of agricultural producers.
Mass industrial use of AI-based autopilot systems, including factory-installed serial equipment, has only been established in Russia.
According to her, the potential for the development of unmanned agricultural machinery is enormous. Currently, Russia has over 120,000 combines, 420,000 tractors, and 15,000 self-propelled sprayers. The level of autopilot implementation in machinery varies from 6 to 20% in different regions, Filippova emphasized.
Which companies are implementing AI technologies in agricultural machinery:
- "Rostselmash"
- Cognitive Pilot
According to Cognitive Pilot, last season 312 unmanned tractors of the company cultivated 2.3 million hectares. Currently, there are over 1700 tractors and combines with AI technologies operating in the country. The Minsk Tractor Works has also joined the development of unmanned agricultural machinery.
