GAZ has extended the rights to use the company's deer emblem until 2034, according to the Rospatent database. The emblem adorned Volga cars.
The car factory plans to revive the production of passenger cars under the Volga brand. Talks about this have been going on since last year. An unnamed foreign partner, apparently from China, should help the Nizhny Novgorod residents. There are rumors that a Changan Raeton Plus sedan, belonging to the D-class, may start to be assembled at the GAZ facilities. There is no official confirmation of this information yet.
In April, GAZ registered the Volga trademark. Its logo does not look like the nameplates that adorned the classic Volgas. It is not yet known what kind of nameplate will adorn the revived passenger car from GAZ, if this car ever appears at all.
