In the Rostov region, construction of a plant for the production of civilian drones will begin. The project will be undertaken by the company "Roboavia". Its costs at the first stage will be 300 million rubles, then - 200 million rubles.
The implementation period of the investment project has not been adjusted, the completion of the project and the achievement of the design capacity are scheduled for the end of 2024
The plant is planned to produce 1,100 units of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) of various modifications annually. They will be used for monitoring traffic conditions, for sowing and harvesting, aerial photography and much more.
The company will employ about 700 people. Roboavia will also create a UAV piloting training center.
This is not the only UAS manufacturing plant that may appear in Russia. The Chinese company Jitian lntelligent Equipment plans to establish the production of drones for agriculture in the Kuban. It is planned to invest 40 million rubles in the creation of a production line with a capacity of 20 units per month. A site for construction is currently being sought.
