Russian Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko led a delegation that visited the construction site of an eco-industrial park in the Moscow region on April 19. This park is one of six that will be built as part of the federal project "Circular Economy." The remaining five will be built in the Stavropol Territory, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, and Chelyabinsk regions by the end of 2024.
This is the most ready-made facility to date. There have been industrial parks in Russia, but there have never been eco-industrial parks. So that it would be possible to gather residents in one place who will be engaged in the circular economy, waste recycling, extracting useful fractions, ensuring the processing of these useful fractions and, accordingly, making new products, new goods.
The park's residents expressed interest in the processing of wood and rubber waste, as well as in the production of rubber modifier used in road construction. Also in Moscow and the Moscow region, one of the important areas is glass recycling, as a large amount of waste accumulates.
Eco-industrial parks will become anchor sites for the creation of production clusters for waste disposal and production of products from recycled materials. Infrastructure is being actively prepared, and entrepreneurs have already concluded agreements with the state on supporting projects.
The delegation carefully inspected the construction site and listened to a report on the current state of the project implementation. The eco-park in the Moscow region, in the Yegoryevsk urban district, is managed by Ecological Digital Operator LLC. It is planned that it will be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2024. Among the potential residents of the park are Biogenesis LLC, ECO-WOOD LLC, ECO-CORD LLC, and ECO-GLASS LLC.
The total area of the park exceeds 8.7 hectares, and the investment volume is estimated at 4 billion rubles.
