Funds for restoration will come from the reserve fund

It was decided to restore the international airport in Kazan. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has already ordered the allocation of funds from the Russian government's reserve fund. The project is estimated to cost over 3.7 billion rubles.

First, the apron will be repaired, with work scheduled to be completed by October 1 of this year. After the renovation, the site will be able to accommodate up to 33 wide-body aircraft simultaneously.

In addition to subsidies from the reserve fund, an additional 3.7 billion rubles will be taken from the regional budget to implement the project.

The decision to carry out a large-scale reconstruction of the airport is related to the upcoming meeting of the BRICS heads of state in Kazan. At the upcoming meeting, Russia will act as the main leader.

Earlier it was reported that by the end of 2024, more 30 airports in the Far East will be restored in Russia. More than 70 billion rubles were allocated for this.
