Russia is import-substituting special equipment for transporting explosives in mining operations

Mass production of this type of domestic special equipment is planned for 2025

The Rostec State Corporation has developed a new model of special equipment for mining operations: delivery vehicles for components of industrial explosives – poremit emulsion – to the development site. They used to be purchased abroad, but now Russia will be able to become independent from external supplies.

The domestic delivery vehicle is designed to transport up to 23 tons of cargo directly to the mining site. There, the poremit emulsion is mixed using special mixing and charging machines to obtain a ready-made composition for controlled explosions. Rostec's development can transport components for refueling two mixing and charging machines for mining operations at once.

The delivery vehicle is universal for all SZM working with poremit emulsion. The special equipment is made of domestic components and, unlike its counterparts, has a higher load capacity. The new model has supplemented the line of mixing and charging equipment, the production of which was resumed at the Krasnoarmeysk Research Institute of Mechanization as part of the development strategy of drilling and blasting operations of the Rostec State Corporation.

The completion of the investment project and the launch of the new model into mass production are planned for 2025. The delivery vehicle, according to the developers, will be able to transport other substances as well, such as gas-generating additives.
