«RESHEVNEV» is mastering a promising technology for creating thermal control systems for spacecraft. It is planned to use miniature contour heat pipes as part of their systems. The function of evaporators in such pipes is performed by capillary pumps, which create a high pressure.
Design and technological documentation for miniature contour heat pipes, thermal control systems based on them, and equipment for their manufacture and testing is already ready. But so far, the development of new solutions is taking place on experimental samples.
In the process of mastering the technology, Reshetnev employees use original design and layout solutions. In particular, a circuit of miniature heat pipes built into the unfolding panels on the satellite body will double the area of heat radiation into outer space. The new technology will significantly improve the energy performance of spacecraft, accommodate more payload to expand the range of target tasks and increase competitiveness.
The thermal circuit based on miniature heat pipes has shown its high efficiency, and it is planned to be used on satellites of various classes of the company. That is, it can be, for example, both new communication satellites «Express-RV», and «Marathon-IoT» for the Internet of Things.
