Engineers at the Ural Design Bureau of Transport Machine Engineering (part of UVZ) have developed a prefabricated striker for an anti-cumulative screen, which protects a combat vehicle from anti-tank projectiles. The development, for which a patent has already been issued, is a grid of interconnected strikers (an element of the mechanism that transmits impact).
The new anti-cumulative screen and other UVZ developments were presented at the International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies "Archimedes-2024" in Moscow. The jury of the competition, which was attended by representatives from 28 countries, awarded Uralvagonzavod a gold and three bronze medals.
We support inventive and innovative activities at UVZ enterprises. This allows us to use intellectual and material resources to reduce production costs
