RT-Invest has sent 70,000 tons of broken glass for recycling in two years. It can be used to make 437.5 million Christmas ornaments or 2.5 million rolls of fiberglass. This was reported by the press service of Rostec.
At the same time, glass can be recycled an unlimited number of times. Usually, up to 30% of secondary raw materials in the form of a glass mixture are used in the production of new glass containers.
Advantages of recycling broken glass:

The press service of Rostec clarified that when using 1 ton of glass cullet, the manufacturer saves 1.2 tons of mineral components (quartz sand, calcium oxide, potash soda). RT-Invest has set an ambitious goal to achieve zero waste disposal in order to improve the country's ecology.
