On International Women's Day, residents of Perm received an unexpected surprise. In Gorky Park, they were congratulated on the holiday by robots. They offered park visitors bouquets of flowers and paid compliments, cheering them up.
According to "Газета.Ru", the action was organized by the company "Promobot". Participants of the "Battle of Robots" project, which Russia held in 2023, were involved: combat robots "Зверобой" and "Хедлайнер". Also, the anthropomorphic service robot Promobot communicated and took pictures with residents and guests of Perm in the park.
Thus, robotics engineers not only decided to cheer up women in honor of the holiday, but also to draw attention to the "Battle of Robots" project this year.
However, in some places in Russia, anthropomorphic and zoomorphic robots are engaged in quite practical tasks even on non-holiday days. For example, in several hospitals in Moscow by the end of 2023, robo-cats appeared. If you stroke them on the head, they can deliver cargo to the nurse's station, accompany the patient to the elevator, and perform a number of other functions.
And at the beginning of this year, it became known that a robot cleaner and a robo-cat appeared in the "Metropolis" shopping center, in the "Перекрёсток" supermarket. The cleaner cleans the area, and the robo-cat performs the function of an additional shelf and entertains visitors. Two people monitor the work of the robots.
