The "St. Petersburg Automobile Plant" announced when to expect a public presentation of the first new car model from the newborn brand of AvtoVAZ called XCITE ("X-SITE").
According to the press service's comment to "Auto News of the Day" - the wait will not be long. The first model, its name and technical characteristics of the former Nissan plant will be presented "later, possibly in the second half of February".
Whether it will be called X-Cross 7, as the auto insiders say in chorus, is not clear. Its possible relationship with the Chinese crossover Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is neither denied nor confirmed at the plant.
But it is known for sure that there is only one XCITE model so far. And the company emphasized that "we are talking about the start of sales in the spring with the first model".
It is also known that the "X" brand itself has the right to produce a whole range of cars in the future: from caravans and passenger cars to military vehicles and hydrogen-powered cars.
