New KAMAZ-6250 all-terrain shift bus for oil workers is undergoing testing

Gazprom ordered transport for oil and gas industry employees from KamAZ. In response, the concern developed a new KAMAZ-6250 all-terrain shift bus. It is currently being tested at the Beloyarsk Emergency Recovery Department of Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk LLC, after which it will be finalized and then it will be possible to talk about mass production.

KAMAZ-6250 has all-wheel drive, its engine has a power of 290 hp, and the gearbox is a six-speed automatic. For a smooth ride, the bus uses a front suspension with long leaf springs, hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers and a stabilizer bar, and a rear pneumatic suspension with four air suspension elements.

At the client's request, the all-terrain bus will be able to run on both diesel fuel and liquefied gas and compressed gas. For a compressed gas ICE variation, a reinforced northern version and an additional range of up to 550 km are included. Thus, the bus will be able to transport workers over longer distances.

The all-terrain bus can comfortably accommodate 32 passengers. If luggage compartments are installed, people will be cramped: only 23 passengers will be seated. Inside the bus there is air conditioning and an air heating device, while a gas leak detection and fire extinguishing system is installed.

It is noted that the model meets safety requirements: the power frame ensures the safety of passengers in the event of a rollover, and each seat has its own three-point seat belts for them. If a passenger is not wearing a seat belt, the smart system will tell the driver about it.

Earlier, the KamAZ concern spoke about a new program for its development until 2030, which included new promising areas of technology: K5+ generation trucks, new families of passenger transport and Kompas vehicles, carbon-free and highly automated transport. By 2030, KamAZ plans to earn almost a billion rubles.
