The Russian-Chinese agreement on the creation of the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) has received ratification approval from the government commission on legislative activities.
The station will begin construction in 2031-2035, with the space agencies of Venezuela, South Africa, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Belarus joining the project. It is also already known that the National University of the UAE is also participating in it.
To launch the ILRS, Russian and Chinese missions will jointly explore the Moon and determine the optimal location for its construction. The new Russian spacecraft Luna-Glob will help with this. Another spacecraft, Luna-Resurs-1, will connect at the stages of lunar surface exploration, creation of communications and interplanetary cargo delivery, and landing a man on the Moon.
Both countries have pledged to assist each other and exempt all goods related to the transplanetary project from customs duties and taxes.
