A Soyuz-2.1b rocket with a non-standard payload was launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk Region. It sent a Russian military spacecraft into its calculated orbit.
The spacecraft has already been placed into its target orbit and taken under control by ground-based facilities of the Aerospace Forces. Stable telemetry communication has been established and is being maintained with it.
Prior to this, at the end of October, a similar launch of a Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket took place from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. However, at that time, the Ministry of Defense informed that the launch was "in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense", but did not specify what payload the rocket was putting into orbit.
