In Russia, two-thirds of air deliveries will be carried out using drones by 2035, according to Alexey Khripunov, head of the Scientific Research Center "Aeroscript." According to his estimates, the fleet of drones for cargo delivery will increase to 500,000 devices within the next 10 years.
At the same time, the aerologistics market for the delivery of food and non-food categories of goods, as well as medical preparations, will amount to about 30 billion rubles, added Khripunov.
The market for delivery robots will also develop in parallel, according to Boris Bernaskoni, founder of the urban planning council of the Skolkovo Innovation Center. According to him, architectural bureaus in Russia are planning new buildings in such a way that robots can deliver parcels, going up to the required floor.
Currently, courier robots are operating in test mode in Moscow, the Leningrad Region, and the Republic of Tatarstan. Bernaskoni believes that they will appear in all major cities of the country within three years.
He emphasized that designers and architects of the urban environment take into account the development prospects of unmanned vehicles, delivery robots, and other autonomous technologies when developing projects.
At the end of 2022, sales of service robots in the world increased by almost 50% against the backdrop of staff shortages. Most manufacturers of such robots are located in the USA - about 200.
