New Robot Parachute "Yuncker" appeared in the Russian army

It relies on GLONASS and can move in caravan mode following the parachutist

The state corporation Rostec introduced a new development: a cargo parachute system Yuncker-DG-250 with automatic control and GLONASS navigation system.

Yuncker passed state tests and began to enter the army.

Its system parachutes loads with a total flight weight of up to 250 kg from flying devices at speeds up to 350 km/h from heights up to 8 km. And here's how it happens.

When using the flight task preparation module, the operator enters information about the landing point of the robot. It is controlled by the GLONASS navigation system, the accuracy of landing is up to a hundred meters.

The robot can follow in the air behind the parachutist, working out the flight trajectory after it until landing by the "Follow me" system attached to the parachutist. A person can also control the robot in manual mode. And several "Yunckers" can line up in a caravan and move in the air one after the other and after the parachutist.

The system performed excellently, and Rostec is now working on a version of the "Yuncker", capable of carrying loads with a total flight mass of up to 500 kg.
