The domestic concern "Kalashnikov" together with specialists from the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering are developing a new generation of military equipment "Legionnaire". They will add a drone control system to it. Company President Alan Lushnikov spoke about this.
It's about the third generation of equipment. This is "Legionnaire". A very large, serious work, it is not for one year. But prototypes are already there, and we are actively refining them.

According to him, engineers have the task of integrating the control of micro and mini drones, as well as autonomous transport vehicles, into the equipment. We are talking about reconnaissance and combat drones.
Now the concern's employees are working on making drones compact and convenient for carrying. The "Legionnaire" will also introduce systems for controlling drones resistant to electronic warfare (EW).
It was previously known that the concern "Kalashnikov" is working on increasing the warhead of the kamikaze drone "Kub", which was first presented to the public in 2019. Now the drone is actively used by Russian military personnel.
