Silencing everyone: Russian military tested Triton EW system

The PPSH Laboratory revealed details on the Triton EW system

Russian servicemen tested the Triton FPV drone suppression system (drones equipped with a camera that transmits data to the operator in real time - ed. www1.ru), developed by specialists of the St. Petersburg company 'Laboratory PPSH'. The head of the enterprise, Denis Oslomenko, told about this.

Testing of the Triton ECM system

According to him, the drone defense system (refers to electronic warfare, EW) was tested on Tiger, Taifun armored vehicles. Now its work has been tested on tanks.

The developers had to modify the construction of the 'Triton' in such a way that it could be placed on top of military equipment. This is how the device can create a dome of protection against drones, explained Oslomenko. If this condition is met, then the diameter of protection is 300 m.

It is noted that the 'Triton' configuration can be changed, including additional modules for suppressing drones controlled on new frequencies in the basic set.

The standard set of FPV drone suppression system includes modules that jam aircraft in four ranges. The complex runs off a battery or the onboard power supply of military equipment.

It was previously reported that specialists of the Scientific and Production Association 'Kaysant' developed a rifle against drones, which has a radius of damaging 1.5 km. The jamming device suppresses up to 90% of all drones.
