The popular Telegram channel "Mash" wrote about the use of the kamikaze drone "Italmas" from Zala Aero by the Russian Armed Forces. The product of the engineers of the Izhevsk enterprise "Aeroscan", presented in September this year on the channel "Russia 1", can fly to its target more than 200 kilometers.
It operates on an internal combustion engine, fuel is poured into the wing fuel tanks. This allows the kamikaze drone to become a domestic champion in the flight to the target.
But apart from "Italmas", Russia has other no less interesting kamikaze UAVs, which "First technical" had previously reported about.
The most invincible among them is the new kamikaze drone "Tube". It is invulnerable to small arms fire and invulnerable to electronic warfare because it is not satellite-linked. This light drone can reach speeds of up to 250-300 km/h and can strike artillery and armored vehicles up to 30-40 km from the launch site.
The most versatile and secret one is the kamikaze drone "Gastello", capable of operating both day and night. It was put into mass production in August this year. But a significant part of its technical specifications have not appeared in the public domain.
This kamikaze drone is named after the Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot Nikolai Gastello. At the very beginning of the Great Patriotic War, on June 26, 1941, Gastello's crew attacked the Wehrmacht forces over Belarusian land, but the plane was shot down. Then Gastello and three crew members decided not to evacuate. They went for a ramming attack, and directed the burning bomber at the enemy's column of vehicles and fuel tanks.
The most maneuverable and rapidly changing is the kamikaze drone "Lancet". It is named after a sharp precise surgical instrument, and has several generations.
This UAV flies at speeds of up to 300 km/h with different types of ammunition at a distance of up to 50 km from the launch site and conducts reconnaissance of potential targets. If necessary, it drops fragmentation high-explosive ammunition on them and can return to base. Or the drone dives onto a specific target and explodes with it, striking enemy living resources, light vehicles and even tanks.
"Lancets" are able to dodge enemy attacks, return to base if necessary at the command of the operator, or switch between several targets in their area of presence.
This family of drones from the company ZALA Aero is part of the Kalashnikov concern, and is constantly improving. In addition to constant updates of all systems, the "Lancets" may soon have their own reconnaissance-strike complex, similar to MLRS.
