The Drone Racing Federation of Russia and Rostelecom have opened a center for training in piloting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Rudnevo Industrial Park in Moscow.
According to the head of the federation, Ilya Galaev, beginners are taught to control drones for more than 240 hours. It is believed that this time is sufficient for professional pilot training. The federation expects that UAV pilot training will be put on stream.
It is known that drone racing is among the disciplines of the "Games of the Future", which will be held in Kazan (February 23 - March 3, 2024). The competitions will be held using modern technologies, including drones, robotics, AR/VR (augmented and virtual reality), and AI (artificial intelligence).
