Firm Contract Signed for Supply of 18 MC-21-310 Aircraft and 34 SJ-100 Airliners to Aeroflot

Most of them will go to the airline "Rossiya", which is part of the "Aeroflot" group

At the Eastern Economic Forum, Aeroflot and the leasing company "Aviacapital-Service" (part of Rostec) signed financial lease agreements for 18 MC-21-310 aircraft and 34 SJ-100 aircraft. This is the first firm contract for the MC-21-310. According to the CEO of the air carrier, Sergei Alexandrovsky, Aeroflot expects deliveries of the ordered aircraft in 2023-2025.

According to the agreement, Aeroflot itself will receive 6 MC-21-310 aircraft under lease, and another 12 MC-21-310 and all 34 SJ-100 will go to the airline "Rossiya", which is part of the Aeroflot group. The agreements were signed by the General Director Sergei Alexandrovsky on behalf of PJSC "Aeroflot", and by the General Director Yan Burg on behalf of the Airline "Rossiya".

These contracts are the first within the framework of the largest transaction for the supply of 339 aircraft in the interests of the Aeroflot group. First of all, the airlines will receive aircraft of new types – MC-21 and "Superjet-100" in a fully import-substituted form. Now the work on these machines is entering the final stretch, it is carried out by a large cooperation of enterprises led by the UAC. I note that unprecedented measures of state support have significantly reduced the cost of domestic aircraft.
