Russian companies are ready to undertake the development of a replacement

Andrey Boginsky, Deputy General Director of UAC for Civil Aviation, General Director of PJSC "Yakovlev", announced that Russia is looking for a replacement for the German engine for the Yak-152 aircraft.

We are looking for opportunities: partners for import substitution of the German engine, who could take up the production of the engine. There are several Russian companies that are ready to take on this work.

Yak-152 is used for initial training and professional selection of pilots at an early stage of training. It is equipped with a V12 RED A03T piston diesel engine.

The head of PJSC "Yakovlev" said that aircraft manufacturers are "in dialogue" with companies ready to undertake the production of the engine.

I can't name the exact dates, but the work is underway, no one is giving up.
