Rostec has created a compact AIVL-D device which can be used at home

The AIVL-D device weighs only 4 kg

The Yalamov Ural Optical Mechanical Plant (UOMZ, part of Rostec's Schwabe) has created a portable artificial ventilation device - AIVL-D, suitable not only for use in a medical institution, but also, for example, in transportation or at home.

AIVL-D

The device is characterized by its small weight (only 4 kg) and silent operation. It can operate for up to three hours autonomously using an integrated battery. The device's parameters are flexibly configured for respiratory support for both adults and children. The device's functionality is expanded by an oxygen saturation (pulse oximeter) and body temperature sensor.

We are in constant contact with the main customers of high-tech medical products - doctors, clinic managers, and nonprofit organizations, including those providing palliative care for 'severe' patients. The demand for life support devices outside medical institutions - at home, while walking, during transportation - is extremely relevant today. The AIVL-D is a modern, compact and lightweight device developed and manufactured in Russia. It is easy to use and provides significant freedom for patients needing respiratory support. We expect the device to pass testing and obtain registration from the Russian Health Department in 2024. said Oleg Evtushenko, the executive director of Rostec.
