Production of the Bulldog 4.0 Army Electric Motorcycle Begins in Russia

Baltmotors has equipped the vehicle with a 2 kW generator that automatically maintains battery charge during long marches

At the Motovesna-2026 exhibition in Moscow, Baltmotors showcased the Bulldog 4.0 all-wheel drive electric motorcycle, designed for operation in extreme road and climatic conditions. The vehicle is positioned as a versatile piece of equipment capable of solving the tasks of law enforcement agencies and private owners working far from infrastructure.

The motorcycle's design relies on low-pressure tires, which distribute the vehicle's weight over a large contact area. This solution allows the vehicle to move confidently through deep snow, loose sand, and washed-out dirt roads. Traction is provided by a scheme with two independent electric motors. The rear wheel is driven by a four-kilowatt unit with a reduction gear, and the front wheel is connected via a three-kilowatt motor-wheel only in situations where additional cross-country capability is required.

The motorcycle is powered by a 72-volt lithium battery with a capacity of 73 amp-hours. On a single charge, the vehicle is capable of covering up to 70 kilometers, and a full energy recovery takes about three and a half hours.

To extend autonomy, the design includes a built-in 2-kilowatt gasoline generator. It maintains the battery charge level on long trips and can power external equipment directly in the parking lot.

We came up with the idea of using a motorcycle with a regular household generator, which is located in place of the gas tank. It can recharge the battery and replenish the power reserve. This is a unique concept that has no analogues in the world. This is truly a forest, deeply off-road motorcycle.

The curb weight of the frame and attachments is 192 kilograms, while the permissible payload reaches 260 kg. Movement is limited to a speed of 90 km/h. The chassis includes an inverted telescopic fork at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear, which, together with a ground clearance of 280 mm, guarantees stability on potholes and obstacles. Braking is performed by hydraulic disc mechanisms.

Standard equipment includes cargo platforms, hand protection, a passenger backrest, a USB connector, as well as unified mounts for radios and standard weapons.

The base price is set at 799 thousand rubles. The developers note that the quiet operation, high traction reserve and the possibility of recharging in the field make the model in demand for patrolling, delivering supplies and expeditionary trips.
