Russia possesses weapons that significantly surpass the power of the Hazel missile system, according to military political scientist Alexander Perendzhiev.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin hinted at this in a joint interview with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
In terms of missile characteristics, in this case, the Hazel, we surpass all foreign systems. Putin, in an interview with Lukashenko, said that a weapon has been created that has no analogues in the world. And I think we are talking not only about the Hazel. There were statements that there is Osina, an even more powerful development.
Perendzhiev emphasized that Russia, apparently, has systems that surpass Western analogues.
Osina Complex
In December 2024, the commander of the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN), Sergei Karakaev, stated that Russia is developing advanced missile systems, including the Osina strategic complex.
There is no information about the characteristics of the Osina system yet. The basis of the Strategic Missile Forces grouping is currently the Yars strategic complexes.
In August 2025, it became known that Russia no longer considers itself bound by self-restrictions on the deployment of medium and shorter-range missiles. The conditions for maintaining the moratorium have disappeared, the Foreign Ministry noted.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the rate of delivery of Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces has increased.
