BMP-3, BTR-80, and Ural vehicles are in service with the Latin American country's army

The Russian wheeled amphibious armored recovery vehicle BREM-K drove through the center of Caracas during the parade in honor of the Day of the Armed Forces of Venezuela. This is reported by Defensa.

The ceremony was attended by President Nicolás Maduro and senior military leadership. In total, 242 pieces of equipment (cars, armored vehicles, and motorcycles) and 18 aircraft were involved in the parade.

Using our own technologies and with the help of our allies and friends around the world, we must continue to strengthen drone systems and anti-drone systems.
Nicolás Maduro, President of Venezuela

The author of Defensa suggested that the head of state meant the Agreement on Strategic Partnership and Cooperation with Russia, which is aimed at comprehensive military-technical cooperation, including technology exchange, joint training, and logistical assistance.

In 2009, Russia signed a contract to supply the Venezuelan Armed Forces with 123 BMP-3 versions BMP-3M/BMP-3K and BREM-L Beglyanka, as well as 114 BTR-80 versions BTR-80A/BTR-80K. Russian T-72B1V, 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzers, Pechora 2M SAMs, Nona-SVK self-propelled guns, and Ural vehicles also participated in military equipment parades held in 2011 and 2012.
