The arsenal of the Russian Armed Forces includes Geran-3 kamikaze drones with jet engines, which are capable of diving at targets at speeds of over 400 km/h. This was stated by military expert Alexei Leonkov.
He specified that now Russian military personnel are using two versions of UAVs: Geran-2 with a piston engine and Geran-3 with a jet engine. The choice of drone for attack depends on what kind of air defense system the enemy is building, Leonkov added.
In the videos published by the media, you can see how "Geraniums" sharply change their flight profile and accurately hit the target.
The expert noted that the new "Geran" has become more accurate and resistant to electronic warfare. Kamikaze drones play the role of an "avant-garde", revealing the location of enemy air defense systems and destroying individual military facilities, Leonkov summarized.
