The first foreign customer of the Russian Su-57E fighter jet will begin operating it in 2025. This could be Algeria or Malaysia, suggests Sakshi Tiwari, author of the Eurasian Times.

Recently, the Su-57E has been linked to Malaysia's Multirole Combat Aircraft (MRCA) program. The Russian fighter could upgrade its aging fleet of aircraft and enhance its air power.

Representatives of the Malaysian Air Force had previously studied the Su-57 at international air shows in China and India. Malaysian media wrote about the possibility of a deal.
