Rosoboronexport interacts with commercial enterprises of other countries. By 2030, technology contracts will account for 40% of the global market for military products. This was stated by Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosoboronexport.
Currently, Russia is implementing more than 20 projects with 10 countries, including countries in the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, CIS and Europe. This includes the creation of joint ventures (JVs), localization of production abroad, technical assistance in the development of weapons, and joint production of military equipment.
According to Mikheev, Russia is developing technological cooperation most extensively with India. In particular, within the framework of the Make In India and "Self-Reliant India" programs.
We are successfully implementing projects, including the production of АК-203 with the prospect of 100% localization in India, the production of "Mango" rounds, aircraft engines, and the re-motorization of the Indian fleet of T-72 tanks at the facilities of Indian enterprises.
Technological partnership helps to free up the capacity of defense industry enterprises for the effective implementation of the state defense order. At the same time, Russia is strengthening relations with friendly countries. In addition, thanks to technological partnership, new types of weapons have appeared. Among them:
- Pantsir-S SAM system
- S-350 Vityaz SAM system
- Т-90МS tank
- Su-30SM fighter
- Mi-35М helicopter
- Atlet armored vehicle
- Project 636 submarine
