Soviet MiG-25 Aircraft Proved to be Twice as Fast as American F-35

The Soviet supersonic combat aircraft MiG-25, developed in the USSR in the 60s, still remains the fastest. It is inferior to the American F-22 and F-35 fighters. This is according to the Jetify portal.

The maximum speed of the MiG-25 is Mach 3.2. For comparison, the F-15 can reach a speed of Mach 2.5, the F-22 Mach 2.0, and the F-35 only Mach 1.6. The 60s aircraft turned out to be twice as fast as the modern F-35.

About the Supersonic MiG-25 Aircraft

The aircraft was developed at OKB-155. The MiG-25 was produced in two versions: a reconnaissance bomber and an interceptor. The first was in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces until 2013, the second until the mid-90s.
