Russia actively uses long-range high-precision weapons (HPW), surpassing other countries in this regard. "Operations \"Desert Storm,\" \"Allied Force,\" \"Enduring Freedom\" – all of this is a kindergarten" in terms of the scale of HPW use by Russian Armed Forces personnel. This is according to military expert Andrei Mitrofanov.
According to Western experts, Russia should have run out of long-range HPW a long time ago, but the strikes continue.
Among the most effective HPW systems are the ground-based OTRK \"Iskander-M\" and the aviation hypersonic complex 9-A-7660 (Kh-47M2) \"Kinzhal.\" Currently, Russian developers are working on creating modifications of them.
When firing a 9M723 missile, the OTRK \"Iskander-M\" has an advantage: the time interval between the launch of the missile and its approach to the target is too short for the enemy to react.
The aviation hypersonic complex \"Kinzhal\" has two possible development paths. Developers can reduce its size (to install it on more aircraft) or increase its flight range.
According to Mitrofanov, \"Kinzhal-M\" should be used with tactical aviation aircraft. He suggested that the complex will be integrated into the Su-34, Su-30SM, and Su-35S. In addition, engineers can reduce the mass of the warhead to 300 kg and install electronic warfare equipment to protect against interception.
