The Tutaevsky Motor Plant has revealed the design features of the R6 diesel engine with a power output of up to 460 hp, which is installed on Kirovets K-7M tractors. The engine received a reinforced cylinder block made of special cast iron with stiffening ribs and individual four-valve cylinder heads. The company presented its technical solutions at the international agricultural machinery exhibition "AGROSALON-2026" in Moscow.
The reinforced body parts of the R6 are designed with an increased safety margin. This design is intended for the engine to operate under loads characteristic of heavy agricultural machinery.
The Tutaevsky Motor Plant, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in the Yaroslavl region, mastered the serial production of the R6 in late 2025. In 2026, the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant assembled 15 K7-MK tractors with these engines, with power outputs of 430 and 460 hp.
The R6 family includes in-line six-cylinder diesel engines for heavy machinery. Depending on the modification, their power reaches 750 hp, which allows these power units to be used not only in agricultural tractors but also in other industrial equipment.
