In Russia, preferential carsharing rates may be introduced for large families. The corresponding instruction to the government was given by President Vladimir Putin following the meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects, held on August 19. The document with the list of instructions was published on October 17 on the Kremlin website.
Consider issues [...] of increasing the accessibility of carsharing services for large families, including by increasing the provision of carsharing companies' fleets with vehicles [...] and establishing balanced tariffs taking into account the interests of such families.
Members of the State Council of the Russian Federation Commission for the direction "Effective Transport System" and the People's Front will be involved in working out this instruction.
The head of state also instructed to consider the issue of providing large families with free travel on toll roads (round trip). It is planned that the benefit will be valid once a year for families with three or more children traveling for recreation and treatment to other regions.
The report must be submitted to Putin by the same deadline - December 1, 2026. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, among others, has been appointed responsible.
