The hydrofoil vessel (HFS) "Letchik Talalikhin" (project 23180 "Valdai 45R") was launched at the production complex of the R.E. Alekseev Central Design Bureau for HFS in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This is the 23rd vessel of the series built at the enterprise.
After completing the cycle of mooring and sea trials, "Letchik Talalikhin" will go to the Saratov region, where it will join its "brothers" on the Volga routes.
The motor ship was named in honor of the Hero of the USSR Viktor Talalikhin. It is designed for operation on river routes up to 400 km long.
The new "Valdai 45R", designed to carry up to 45 passengers at a speed of up to 65 km/h, will operate on the Volga. 4 such vessels are already operating in the region - "Yuri Gagarin", "Petr Stolypin", "General Panfilov" and "Politruk Klochkov".
The press service of the R.E. Alekseev Central Design Bureau for HFS stated that in the past season in the Saratov region, HFS vessels of project 23180 "Valdai 45R" transported almost 30 thousand passengers. This confirms the demand for water transport.
